The Puma Borussia Dortmund 2026 'Rote Erde' special jersey is inspired by the iconic gate of the historic stadium.
It features a black base with "earthy" applications and incorporates a pattern of the gate.
BVB uses an old crest for the special jersey, as seen in the announcement image, but in altered colors to match those of the shirt.
BVB's 25-26 special soccer jersey also has a very subtle wall design integrated into the BVB logo.
The Stadion Rote Erde, formerly known as Kampfbahn Rote Erde, was built in Dortmund in 1926.
It served as Borussia Dortmund's home ground before the opening of the adjacent Westfalenstadion in 1974 (now Signal Iduna Park).
It remains a significant site in the club's history and is located directly next to the East Stand of the current stadium.
